IT support in Brighton and across Sussex

I am Rob Craig, and Enhanceify is my one-person practice. I do practical IT work for small businesses and home offices in Brighton, Hove and the rest of Sussex, plus remote work anywhere in the UK. No sales team, no call centre queue, no account manager who has to ask someone else. You get me.

That is the honest pitch, and it cuts both ways. A one-person practice means you deal with the person doing the work, and it also means I am not a 24/7 operation with staff covering nights. If you need a rota of engineers on shift, I am the wrong choice and I will say so early rather than take the money.

What I actually do

The everyday half of the business is small-office and home IT:

  • Getting a new office running. Machines, accounts, shared files, printers, the network, and the bit everyone skips (writing down how it all fits together so the next person is not guessing). From £450.
  • Ongoing support. Someone to call when it breaks, on a per-user monthly basis rather than a panic day rate. From £65 per user per month.
  • One-off help. A specific thing that has gone wrong, fixed as a callout. From £65.
  • Digital decluttering. Years of files, duplicated drives, four cloud accounts and nobody sure which one is current. Charged hourly, from £45.
  • Backup that actually works. Not "there is a backup somewhere" but a tested restore. From £180.
  • Business continuity. What happens when the laptop is stolen or the building floods. From £450.
  • Home and hybrid working setups. A desk that works properly rather than a laptop balanced on a kitchen table. From £250.
  • Small-business websites. From £2,500.

The other half is Internet of Things (IoT) and cellular connectivity work, which is my specialism and which I do remotely for clients anywhere. That is a different kind of buyer and it lives on the services page with the rest.

What it costs

Every price is published on the services page. All of them are ex-VAT, in pounds, and none of them are "contact us for a quote" as a way of finding out what you can afford first.

I set them against a dated survey of UK market rates rather than by intuition, and the survey is written down. If you think a price is wrong, say so and I will tell you where the number came from.

No commission, no kickbacks

I do not resell hardware or software, and I take no commission from any vendor. This matters more than it sounds. A lot of small-business IT advice is quietly shaped by which supplier pays the best margin, and you cannot tell from the outside. If I recommend a firewall or a backup product, it is because I think it is right for you, and if the honest answer is "what you have already is fine, keep it", that is what you get.

Where I cover

On site, I cover Brighton and Hove first, then the wider Sussex coast and the towns inland - Lewes, Newhaven, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Eastbourne, and as far as Hastings. If you are further out, ask anyway. A lot of work does not need anyone in the room, and remote is often faster for both of us (no travel to pay for, and no waiting until Thursday because that is when I can get to you).

Enhanceify Ltd is a UK limited company, number 16107718, registered in Brighton.

How to start

Describe the problem in your own words in an email. You do not need to diagnose it first, and you do not need to know what the service is called - "the shared drive keeps disconnecting and nobody knows why" is a perfectly good starting point.

I will tell you what I think is going on, roughly what it will take, and what it will cost, before any work starts. If it turns out to be a ten minute fix, I will say that too.
